Our Mission

Too many gyms are built by committee. Equipment chosen by a purchasing manager, layout designed by a contractor who’s never trained a day in their life, flooring picked from a catalog. The result is a space that functions but doesn’t inspire.

We approach every project differently. We start with the user: who they are, how they train, what they need. Then we build backwards from there.

Our Philosophy

Design, equipment and flooring aren’t separate decisions. They’re interconnected. A piece of equipment that’s physically too large for the zone it’s supposed to occupy is a design failure. Flooring that looks great but doesn’t absorb impact is a product failure.

We hold the full scope because we’re the only people who can catch those gaps before they happen. That’s not a sales pitch, it’s just how good projects get built.

Tonic Performance started in Montreal in 2005 as a fitness equipment distributor. Over the years, clients kept asking us the same question: "Can you help us figure out the layout too?" We started saying yes.

Today we offer full facility design, equipment sourcing, flooring, and installation all under one roof. We've grown from a two-person operation to a full team of designers, technicians, and project managers, but our approach hasn't changed: handle every detail, stay accountable, and don't leave until it's right.
